The Zahra Trust’s mission is to aid those suffering from war, poverty and famine, by providing basic philanthropic needs, enabling them to survive and making them self-sustainable so that they will no longer require aid.
Life Begins at Birth
Every mother should survive childbirth, and every newborn deserves the chance to live. The Zahra Trust is committed to saving mothers and babies through urgent and developmental care so that survival becomes the beginning of a healthy and hopeful life.
Life After Birth
Every birth is a beginning and both mother and child deserve the chance to survive and to live with dignity and strength. The Zahra Trust protects mothers and newborns before birth and supports them long after. In 2025 we provided vitamins, hygiene kits, infant milk and sterile C section drapes and expanded midwifery training across our programmes to help more mothers survive pregnancy and more babies take their first breath safely. Our wider work also gives families clean water, nutrition, education and safe shelter. In 2026 we will continue this mission so every family can grow and thrive.
