Steer for Change Mother and Newborn Foundation works to reduce preventable maternal and infant deaths and improve health outcomes for mothers, newborns and children in underserved Nigerian communities. We support vulnerable pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants and young children, especially families facing financial barriers to care. Through community-based medical outreaches, we provide basic health checks, health education, essential medicines and vitamins, safe birth kits, nutrition support and referrals to healthcare facilities. We also help families with medical bills when needed and provide nutrition screening and follow-up for children. Our locally produced Kayplan cereal supports child nutrition, while proceeds help fund the Foundation’s initiatives.
