Increase equity in access to maternal and neonatal healthcare in Pakistan by the provision of safe, appropriate, and respectful healthcare, and reducing financial and structural barriers experienced in the maternity, birth, and postpartum process.
Mama Baby Fund (MBF) is a midwife-led non-profit organisation working to improve equitable access to maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) services in coastal and underserved communities of Pakistan. Through our community-based clinic on Baba Island, we provide antenatal, postnatal, newborn, paediatric and general healthcare, including skilled birth support, referrals, diagnostics, medicines and nutritional support. Our 24/7 boat ambulance connects women and newborns in remote island communities to emergency obstetric and neonatal care. We also address the intersection of climate change and MNCH through heat-adaptive healthcare, community preparedness, maternal cooling interventions and climate-resilient health services.
