More than 80 organizations across 25 countries, collectively mobilizing nearly $140 million, will convene in Istanbul to expand proven healthcare solutions and advance maternal and newborn survival.
ISTANBUL, TÜRKİYE — November 2, 2026 — Every Pregnancy, a global, faith-inspired coalition of more than 80 organizations across 25 countries, will gather in Istanbul from November 6–9, 2026, to accelerate collective action against preventable maternal and newborn deaths. With sponsorship from Humaniti, the Every Pregnancy 2026 Partner Convening, themed Turning Collaboration into a Force for Maternal Survival, will bring together humanitarian leaders, healthcare providers, philanthropists, researchers and advocates to strengthen partnerships and expand access to lifesaving maternal and newborn healthcare.
What began as a Ramadan campaign in 2024 has grown into a global movement that has collectively mobilized nearly $140 million to advance maternal and newborn health, supporting healthcare initiatives that have reached over half-a-million mothers and newborns. During Ramadan 2026 alone, the coalition mobilized over $91 million in just 30 days, demonstrating the potential of faith-inspired philanthropy to support lifesaving healthcare at scale. Despite advances in maternal healthcare, more than 700 women continue to die every day from causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Most of these deaths are preventable, yet access to quality care remains limited for millions of women, particularly in underserved and conflict-affected communities.
“Women are dying from complications we already know how to prevent. That should be unacceptable to every one of us,” said Isra Chaker, Founder and CEO of Every Pregnancy. “We have the knowledge, the resources and the solutions. What we need is to work together to make sure they reach every mother, no matter where she lives. That’s why we’re coming together in Istanbul.” The convening will focus on three priorities: measuring collective impact through shared evidence and frontline insights; co-designing the coalition’s 2027 Ramadan campaign; and identifying opportunities to scale proven maternal and newborn healthcare interventions through innovation, advocacy and coordinated investment.

The gathering comes as the coalition seeks to build on its growth by strengthening accountability, improving how collective progress is measured and connecting partners across sectors. Participants will explore how funding, expertise and community-led approaches can work together to close the gap between available healthcare solutions and the women who need them. “Meaningful change requires more than ambition. It takes leadership, long-term commitment and the willingness to bring different sectors together,” said Zaheerah Bham-Ismail, entrepreneur, social impact advocate, and Every Pregnancy Advisory Board Member. “Every Pregnancy demonstrates what is possible when we combine our strengths around a shared goal. We have an opportunity to turn collective resources into lasting improvements in the lives of mothers and their children.”
