Protecting Mothers, Nurturing Generations
Yemen currently holds the highest maternal mortality rate in the Middle East and North Africa. Tragically, one woman dies in childbirth every two hours, mostly from preventable causes. The crisis is exacerbated by the fact that less than half of all births are attended by skilled medical personnel.

In Yemen, mothers and children face some of the world's most severe health challenges. With limited access to maternal care, malnutrition, and preventable diseases threatening thousands of lives, urgent action is needed. As a specialized organization which focuses on Yemen, we have deep roots in local communities. Together with them, we build healthier futures by operating medical centers, training midwives and frontline health workers, and delivering essential vaccines and nutritional supplements to both mothers and their babies.
