Our extensive portfolio spans healthcare, protection, nutrition, education, livelihoods, and food security.
What sets us apart is the intersection of our work in healthcare and the protection of women and children, resulting in a strong focus on reproductive health, gender-based violence (GBV) prevention and response, as well as maternity and newborn care.
Rebuilding Safe Births in Syria
A safe pregnancy begins with access to care. When the earthquake destroyed the region’s only maternity center, thousands of mothers were left vulnerable. Together, we can rebuild the tools, equipment, and support needed to protect mothers and welcome new life safely.
A Future Born Safely
Every mother deserves a safe pregnancy and a secure place to deliver her child. In Jindiris, this basic right was shattered in 2023 when a devastating earthquake destroyed the town’s maternity hospital, leaving thousands of pregnant women without essential care. SRD is rebuilding an earthquake-resilient Maternity & Children’s Hospital with neonatal care, emergency services, C-sections, obstetrics, and maternal mental-health support.
